The Sharknado Outbreak is a special, extremely hot chili pepper (Capsicum chinense), developed by the American breeder Bryan Townshend of Towns-End Chili & Spice. This impressive variety arose from a cross between Red Shark × Repo Mang (Reaper Mango).
Our original seeds came from our good friend Jim Theys, Jim received these seeds directly from Bryan Townshend, making the origin of our breeding line clearly traceable back to the original developer.
The Sharknado Outbreak is a real eye-catcher thanks to its whimsical, strongly wrinkled fruits and spectacular color development. The young peppers can be almost black and change color during ripening through dark red and purple shades to a brilliant orange to orange-red final color.
The plant itself is also particularly decorative, with dark, purple-black stems and strikingly dark-colored leaves.
But don't be fooled by his beautiful appearance: behind this colorful appearance lies a Extremely hot superhot which absolutely shouldn't be underestimated!
The Sharknado Outbreak is a real super-hot product, suitable only for experienced lovers of extremely spicy chili peppers.
In addition to its enormous sharpness, this variety would have light fruity, sweet and floral flavor notes. The heat builds quickly and can persist for a particularly long time.
The fruits are excellently suited for preparing extremely hot sauces, sambals, chili powder and spicy herb blends. Due to the enormous sharpness, only very small amounts are needed.
⚠️ Warning – EXTREMELY HOT!
When cleaning our own harvest, we personally experienced how powerful this pepper is. Even with a mouth mask, we experienced severe coughing fits and, despite wearing double nitrile gloves, we still experienced irritation in our fingers for days afterwards.
This pepper is definitely not suitable for inexperienced users!
Process the fruits only with appropriate protective equipment and sufficient ventilation. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes and prevent inhalation of fine particles during processing.
Our Sharknado Outbreak mother plant was shielded with insect netting during the entire flowering period.
The seeds offered come from this protected plant. This greatly reduced the risk of unwanted cross-pollination by insects.
Because the Sharknado Outbreak is a relatively young breeding line, there may still be some natural variation in fruit shape, color, or other characteristics in the offspring. This is separate from protection against cross-pollination.
🌶️ Sharknado Outbreak – an exceptional superhot with impressive origins, spectacular colors and extreme sharpness. An absolute eye-catcher for the true chili lover and collector!
