🌶️ Jalapeño Chernobyl – An impressive giant among the Jalapeños!

The Jalapeño Chernobyl (Capsicum annuum) is a special chili pepper that immediately stands out thanks to its exceptionally large, oblong fruits. Those who think that all Jalapeños are relatively short and narrow will be pleasantly surprised by this variety!

What makes this pepper truly special are the impressive fruits that come with it. Our own cultivation reached a length of no less than 22 to 25 cm! The peppers are firm, meaty and have a smooth, shiny skin. During ripening they change from dark green to a beautiful deep red color.

Also in terms of spiciness, the Jalapeño Chernobyl stands out from its more well-known relatives. According to our own taste experience, this variety is noticeably spicier than a classic Jalapeño. We cannot confirm an exact SHU value, but lovers of peppers with a bit of extra kick will definitely appreciate this special variety.

The plants can bear multiple large fruits at the same time, making them a real eye-catcher in the vegetable garden, greenhouse or on the terrace.

Thanks to their generous size and firm flesh, these peppers are excellent for grilling, stuffed peppers, spicy sauces, salsas, and all kinds of other culinary preparations.
