🌶️ Beaver Dam Chili Pepper - Seeds

The Beaver Dam is a unique heirloom chile pepper with a wonderful story. This variety was brought to Wisconsin, USA, in the early 20th century by Hungarian immigrants, and has since become a fixture in local cuisine as well as in kitchen gardens worldwide. The fruits are large, fleshy and have a pleasant, mild to medium spiciness. Perfect for stuffing, baking or using raw.

🫑 Characteristics:

• Large, elongated fruits (15-20 cm)

• Matures from green to bright red

• Spiciness: approx. 500-1,000 SHU (mild)

• Juicy flesh with slightly sweet-aromatic flavor

• Ideal for grilling, stuffing or pickling

🌱 Cultivation information:

• Pre-sowing: February-March (warm indoors)

• Plant out: after icy days in a sunny spot

• Harvest: July to October

• Plant size: approx. 60-80 cm

• Great for full soil and large pots
