🌶️ Kampanaki – The mild Greek pepper that is perfect for stuffing

The Bell is a popular Greek pepper known for its mild to very mild taste and its characteristic shape. The fruits are about 6 cm long, have broad shoulders and taper nicely downwards to a point. The cone-shaped peppers ripen from green to red and give the plant an attractive and colorful appearance.

The plants grow to be about 70 to 90 cm high and can become quite productive during the season. Due to the height and weight of the fruits, a support certainly not be an unnecessary luxury.

The Kampanaki is especially loved because it is so versatile in the kitchen. The relatively mild fruits are ideal for to fill with a soft cheese, but also do extremely well with other fillings or sauces. Although the variety is generally very mild, there can sometimes what are hot copies to be caught in between.

A delicious pepper for those who enjoy the flavor of peppers, but are not necessarily looking for a heavy dose of heat.

🍴 Culinary Tip

De Kampanaki is ideally suited for filling. Try them with cream cheese, feta, or another soft cheese and bake them briefly in the oven. Also stuffed with minced meat, vegetables, or a tasty sauce, these peppers are delicious.
