🌶️ Bryan's Blood - A colorful, streaky beauty with subtle variegation
The Bryan's Blood is a special selection within the hybrid line developed by Eric Knight, created from a cross between the Scarletts Chili's and the Ancho Poblano. Whereas the Rainbow variety focuses heavily on extreme color transitions and heavy variegation, Bryan's Blood is known for its quieter but elegant expression: handsome, evenly shaped fruit with clear green-yellow stripes and plants that regularly slight leaf variegation show.
The peppers are medium-sized, fleshy and about the length of a jalapeño. During ripening, they retain their striped pattern for an extended period of time before finally turning deep red. The flavor is mild to medium hot, with a fresh and slightly fruity aroma.
This makes the Bryan's Blood a wonderful blend between ornamental value and practicality in the kitchen - perfect for someone who wants something unique without going too extreme in appearance or heat.
