🌶️ Ancho Grande Chili Pepper - Seeds

The Ancho Grande Mulato is a classic Mexican chili pepper with deep, complex flavors and mild to medium spiciness. This dark brown to chocolate-colored pepper is an essential ingredient in authentic Mexican mole, sauces and stews. Fresh, it is green and fleshy, but after aging and drying, it develops rich notes of raisin, chocolate and coffee.

• Large, broad fruits (10-15 cm)

• Matures from dark green to brown/black

• Pithiness: approx. 1,000-2,000 SHU

• Deep, earthy aroma with sweet and smoky undertones

• Perfect for drying, roasting or incorporating into sauces

🌱 Cultivation information:

• Pre-sowing: February-March (warm indoors)

• Plant out: from mid-May in a sunny spot

• Harvest: August to October

• Plant size: approx. 70-100 cm
