🌶️ Sugar Rush Peach - Sweet, fruity and surprisingly tangy

The Sugar Rush Peach is special and popular Capsicum baccatum, beloved for its delicious combination of fruity sweetness and a firm spiciness. Moreover, the striking peach-colored fruits make this variety a true eye-catcher in the garden, conservatory, or greenhouse.

The plants grow vigorously, branch well, and under good conditions can highly productive become. As with many Capsicum baccatum-varieties, the plant can grow quite large and produce a substantial amount of fruit over a long season.

The elongated and often somewhat irregularly shaped fruits begin green and eventually mature into their characteristic peach- to salmon-pink color. Especially when different ripening stages are on the plant at the same time, this creates a wonderfully colorful ensemble.

But the great asset of the Sugar Rush Peach is of course the taste. The fruits have a distinct sweet, fruity, and almost tropical taste, followed by a firm yet pleasant heat. With about 50,000 to 100,000 SHU This is definitely not a mild pepper, but the fruity sweetness remains nicely present.

An excellent choice for those who not only love spiciness, but are primarily looking for a pepper with lots of flavor and character.

The combination of sweet, fruity and spicy makes the Sugar Rush Peach particularly suitable for fresh salsas, sweet hot sauces, chutneys, and marinades. Also freshly sliced into thin rings over tacos, salads or other dishes, its unique flavor comes into its own exceptionally well.

Try combining it with one as well mango, pineapple or peach in a homemade chili sauce. The tropical character of the Sugar Rush Peach then comes out even more strongly.
