🌶️ Shishito Pepper - Seeds

The Shishito is a popular Japanese chili pepper, beloved for its mild flavor and versatility in cooking. The slender, wrinkled peppers are usually mild (but occasionally one surprises with a bit of spice!) and are often briefly fried or grilled as tasty snacks or tapas.

• Slender, wrinkled fruit (7-10 cm)
• Ripen from green to red, often harvested while still green
• Taste: mild, slightly sweet and savory
• Spiciness: average 50-200 SHU (usually very mild with outliers )
• Traditional Japanese variety, perfect for wok or grilling

🌱 Cultivation information:

• Pre-sowing: February-April (warm indoors)
• Plant out: after icy days in a sunny spot
• Harvest: July to October
• Plant height: approx. 60-80 cm
• Suitable for pots, greenhouse and full ground
