The Jalapeño Black Magic is a distinctive variety of the well-known jalapeño, bred for its unique deep purple-black color and full flavor. During the ripening process, the fruits turn from dark green to almost black, eventually turning a deep red hue when fully ripe. This creates a spectacular play of colors on the plant as well as in the kitchen.

The fruits are on average 8 to 10 cm long, firm in texture and have the typical jalapeño aroma: slightly smoky, spicy and mildly spicy.
