🌶️ Purple Flash – Spectacular fur leaf and an explosion of colors

The Purple Flash is a special Capsicum annuum which is known primarily for its spectacular ornamental value. This compact pepper plant combines dark purple to almost black leaves with beautiful shades of green, purple and cream-white. This means that almost any leaf can display a different pattern.

The stems also turn a strikingly dark purple color, and small purple flowers appear between the variegated leaves. Then small, round to slightly oval peppers develop that are initially pink to almost black to be.

During the ripening process, a particularly colorful play of colors occurs. As can be seen beautifully on our own plants, the fruits can eventually take on greenish, yellow and orange hues. deep red discoloration. Because different ripening stages occur simultaneously on one plant, Purple Flash is a real eye-catcher throughout much of the season.

The small peppers are edible and quite hot, but this variety is primarily grown for its exceptional appearance.

At Purple Flash, it’s not the peppers that are important, but rather the the stars of the show are taking the stage. The combination of almost black, purple, green and cream-white can constantly change throughout the season.

Thanks to its compact growth, this variety is excellently suited for pots, terrace and balcony, But also between other ornamental plants or as a special eye-catcher in a pepper collection.

🍴 Use
The fruits of Purple Flash are Edible and quite spicy, They are usually not grown for their culinary qualities; they can have a somewhat bitter and sharp taste.

Anyone who wants to use them can process small amounts into, for example, a spicy sauce, chili oil or chili powder. However, for culinary use there are more flavorful pepper varieties available.
